Our September/October magazine is here! For this issue, we did a special print run for the IBC show in Amsterdam. We're still happy to autograph them.
This issue's technology theme is the IP transition. Vendors and suppliers offers us perspectives on the "state of IP", including Wheatstone who offer a look at audio over IP and a case study on the use of NewTek's NDI IP framework at American broadcaster BET.
We are delighted to have as our Sharpshooter interviewee, Robert McLachlan, the DP of some of Game Of Thrones most memorable episodes.
We check out the war over Crossrail, where Soho's audio post production community took on London's massive new underground rail project when it threatened the whole area with "bad vibrations".
Our region focus for this issue is Africa with a case study on the production of Phoenix Wilder and the Great Elephant.
And, of course, VR is still a hot topic no matter where you go. We include a commentary by Quantum on storage considerations for 360 post production and we sit down with Atlantic Productions' VR wing, Alchemy.
In our User Review this issue, Christina Fox runs the Rosco Silk 220 LED through its paces.
And we have our annual IBC product preview, showing you a sampling of the gear showing at this week's IBC show in Amsterdam, and with it a survey of what gear people really want to see at IBC.
