The authors of successful synopses will be invited by the Technical Papers Committee to prepare full papers for a second peer review

The submission deadline for IBC2017 Technical Papers and Posters synopses is Monday, 7 February.

Forming the cornerstone of the IBC Conference, as an integral part of the Advances in Technology stream, the papers and posters provide the trade show with a barometer of trends in media developments and showcase and forecast advances which aim to benefit the media industry. Stripped of marketing and commercial influence the proposals made to IBC are rigorously peer reviewed and stand or fall on the strength of their expertise, novelty, clarity and insight.

IBC welcomes entries from every discipline, whether from a professional or a professor, a member of a R&D team, a lone researcher or an employee of a global brand and from across any part of the broadcast, communications, electronic media and entertainment fields.

The authors of successful synopses will be invited by the Technical Papers Committee to prepare full papers for a second peer review. Full papers will then be selected for publication and authors invited to make a 20 minute presentation at the IBC Conference on 14 - 18 September 2017. All papers must be presented orally in English. The Best Conference Paper will also receive an award at the annual IBC Awards ceremony.

One silver conference pass, worth over €2,000, is provided for the primary author of the successful paper. If the paper will be presented by a different person please state this on submission so the conference pass can be allocated to that individual.

Submit your technical paper synopsis at the IBC website.
