Call for HPA Tech Retreat UK presentations
Deadline for main programme proposals is 30 May
Proposals are now being accepted for the main program of the second annual HPA Tech Retreat UK. The event, in its second year, is based on the successful US events held by the HPA (Hollywood Professional Association). This year's HPA Tech Retreat UK will return to Heythrop Park Resort in Oxfordshire, UK from 11-13 July 2017.
The HPA Tech Retreat UK, presented in association with SMPTE, will feature a supersession presentation and main programme presentations by members of the moving image tech sector. This is held alongside an "Innovation Zone" trade exhibition, where attendees can engage in hands-on exploration of the latest developments in workflow tools and technologies. The event also features breakfast roundtables.
This year will also mark the UK debut of TR-X, Tech Retreat eXtra, an additional half-day of in-depth seminars on topics of particular community interest. Co-chairs for the event are SMPTE education VP Richard Welsh, HPA President Seth Hallen, and HPA board member Jerry Pierce.
The main program proposals are due by 30 May 2017. Proposals for breakfast roundtables have no deadline for submission. However, once the maximum number of tables is reached the call will be closed.
Registration and application to participate in the Innovation Zone opens later this month. More information about the HPA and the HPA Tech Retreat is available here.
