This IBC fun run for charity has grown in popularity with every year

Do you dare race against the fleet-footed TV Tech team? Rest assured, we will defeat you!

Fortunately it's all in a good cause. The 4K 4Charity fun run will return this year as everyone's favourite IBC hangover cure. Fast becoming an IBC tradition, this year’s run takes place on Saturday morning, near the RAI in Amstel Park.

The IBC run is part of a series of charity runs held at major industry events around the world.

“Registrations have doubled for each event in the series, and total donations now top a quarter of a million dollars,” said organiser Laura Barber, director of marketing at Elemental Technologies. "The rapid growth of this event has been fantastic, but the potential for its continued expansion is even more exciting. Please sign up today and make an impact!”

Registration for the event is now open at www.4k4charity.com. Organisations benefitting from the IBC2016 event include Heifer International, bringing sustainable agriculture and commerce to areas with a long history of poverty, and Amsterdam charity Jeugdsportfonds, which helps children whose families cannot afford athletics club membership.

Corporate sponsors include Aspera, ChyronHego, Dolby and Xstream. Media partners include NewBay Media Europe and Rapid TV News.

4K 4Charity starts at 07:30, Saturday 10 September. Snacks and drinks will be available once you have completed the course.
