x.news is a research tool for brands and newsrooms that helps users track multiple sources of information
x.news brought a new version of its newsroom research technology to IBC. The x.news tool enables journalists, news agencies and enterprises to aggregate and track large numbers of data sources simultaneously, from social media to news wires to internal research libraries and databases.
The browser-based subscription service allows news teams to save time in researching stories, gaining insights and exchanging information and is being used by multiple companies internationally, including ABC news outlets in the US, MTV3 in Finland, the government of Dubai and the University of Applied Sciences Burgenland. The company also offers enterprise installations
The new version 1.9 of x.news includes a new TimeLine module option, which creates a chronological perspective on multiple sources of information. The TimeLine is zoomable and feeds of different resources can be compared and the size of their traffic graphically analysed. Also in the new version PDFs, emails and image libraries are fully indexed and searchable, and WhatsApp group chat is integrated. The update also includes a native app for iOS and Android (pictured above).
