CLEAR’s IMF solution now includes an IMF Player that provides the ability to preview, playback, review and distribute over a streaming proxy

At NAB, Prime Focus Technologies will unveil Interoperable Master Format support, including an IMF Player and Mastering Automation solution, as part of its CLEAR Media ERP product.

CLEAR’s IMF solution now includes an IMF Player that provides the ability to preview, playback, review and distribute over a streaming proxy a composition playlist (CPL) including video, audio and captions. The company says this will enable collaboration in the workflow without having to access the original IMF package each time a CPL has to be played back.

IMF support within CLEAR includes the ingest of complete IMF packages and supplemental IMF packages. CLEAR provides users the ability to work with IMF Compositions created using any of the desktop CPL edit solutions (Clipster, Color Front, Gray Meta and Netflix CPL Editor, among others) over streaming proxies and perform a variety of functions, including search, playback, upload, download, distribution of IMF packages, as well as distribution of rendered and transcoded output.

Prime Focus will also be debuting DAX Production Cloud. The software, based on DAX with Digital Dailies and part of the company’s CLEAR Media ERP product, centralises assets into a single repository which can be securely accessed. DAX Production Cloud allows the use of the same system for both dailies and post workflows. It enables all stakeholders within the production supply chain to collaborate, service and distribute media, all on the same software.
