What is your goal for this year¹s IBC show?
We know that the broadcast market is more complex than ever, but we also see the exciting opportunities that our customers are exploring as they create, control and connect content for demanding viewers. At IBC, we will highlight the way Grass Valley's advanced technologies for content work together as integrated solutions rather than just a collection of products. Our leadership in the area of industry standards helps to ensure that customers are making smart, long-term investments for growth. That's our message at the show.
What will be the big tech trends at this year¹s IBC?
In addition to the ongoing demonstrations of IP networking and 4K or HDR image capture that began last year, I believe that we will see a lot of new solutions around the capturing of analytics as well as new tools for content personalisation.
What gear/software/platform do you wish someone would make?
Selfishly, I wish someone would come up with some truly quality wireless Bluetooth earbuds for the long flight!
What's your fondest IBC/Amsterdam memory?
This is my first time in Amsterdam or at IBC, so I hope to come home with at least one fond memory.
