Flying. IBC unofficially begins at Heathrow Airport meeting blasts from the past!

What is your goal for IBC this year?

I¹m looking forward to introducing the latest release of Paywizard¹s award winning Decision Moments framework to broadcasters and content companies planning to launch next generation pay-TV, SVOD (Subscription Video on Demand) and pay-per-view services.

What will be the big trends at this year¹s IBC?

Virtual reality video is on-trend right now, especially with the maturing gaming generation. I expect to see many references to it, with content companies looking to meet demand by extending their distribution through VR devices.

What gear/software/platform do you wish someone would make?

So much of Gene Roddenberry's visionary Star Trek tech has been now been invented. The holy grail is the transporter. It will solve so many logistical issues - including getting from one IBC hall to another in an instant!

What is your fondest IBC/Amsterdam memory?

The evening boat trips from "The Beach" into the city centre in the company of industry friends and colleagues are always great fun.

Can you speak Dutch?

Helaas nee. And by the Tuesday evening of IBC I can barely speak at all!
