Jünger Audio

Jünger Audio's Peter Poers would like to see an end to proprietary standards for audio, video and metadata distribution formats.

Name: Peter Poers

Company: Jünger Audio GmbH

Job Title: Business Development Manager

Number of IBCs you’ve attended: 20+

Flying, driving or train-ing to IBC this year?

Driving, as I always do.

What is your goal for this year’s IBC show?

We will be giving people an idea about where we want to go in future in terms of product development, etc. Getting immediate feedback will be very useful and we are curious to discover what we will learn.

What will be the big tech trends at this year’s IBC?

I guess everything around IP-based technologies is where all the attention will still be focused. Also, 4K UHDTV with HDR. And let’s not forget that pictures without audio don’t make for very good viewing!

What piece of gear/software/platform do you wish someone would make?

Unified and commonly agreed protocol standards for audio, video and data over IP - and also for metadata. I would like to see an end to proprietary standards for audio, video and metadata distribution formats so that everybody is able to use them in any direction.

What’s your fondest IBC/Amsterdam memory?

This is a hard one to answer because I’ve collected quite a few fond memories over the years. What I like is the relaxed way in which Dutch people deal with all the action that goes on in Amsterdam during the show.

Can you speak Dutch?

Just a few words, like Bromfietsen….
