What is your goal for this year’s IBC show?

IBC is a great opportunity to meet with our partners and potential partners to discuss their business needs and help provide the best Artel solutions for them to be successful.  As the director of international and channel sales, it’s important for me to convey Artel’s continued support for the European market. This requires listening to and asking question of IBC attendees to gain perspective of their unique market requirements.  We anticipate a lot of discussions around IP topics. My goal at IBC is to share our expertise and communicate Artel’s role in these new IP and hybrid IP/SDI ecosystems, and introduce Artel’s IP solutions to the market.

What will be the big tech trends at this year’s IBC?

I expect the big tech trend at this year’s IBC will be the continued presence of interoperability standards in the IP market segment such as SMPTE 2110 and SMPTE 2022-7.

What piece of gear/software/platform do you wish someone would make?

A device that will allow you to transmit low voltage DC power over a fibre cable.
