What is your goal for this year’s IBC show?
As a manufacturer, obviously the overriding goal at IBC is attracting new business. However, this year I’ve joined the IBC Council so I’m looking forward to having a broader experience of the overall event.
What will be the big tech trends at this year’s IBC?
The ongoing migration from bespoke hardware to software systems (local, data centre and cloud). Additionally, I think the reality that large scale IP system are now proven and viable for many projects. It will be interesting to see how much of a presence things such as VR have at the show.
What piece of gear/software/platform do you wish someone would make?
A time machine. Even though IBC is one of the longer exhibitions in the calendar there is never enough time.
What’s your fondest IBC/Amsterdam memory?
On a personal level, it is almost always my birthday at IBC, so there are many happy memories associated with that. From a business perspective, the launch of the SAM brand at IBC 2015 was a proud moment.
