What is your goal for this year’s IBC show?  

Not to lose my voice before day 3!

But on a serious note: to show our prospective customers how we can take them on a cloud TV transformation journey that will have a positive impact on both their business and their subscribers’ experiences.

What will be the big tech trends at this year's IBC?

  • Voice as the primary user interface backed by AI systems
  • Cloud TV systems that actually scale like TV should
  • Integration of new content OTT sources into the primary TV experience
  • Android TV powering most of the cloud TV STBs

 
What piece of gear/software/platform do you wish someone would make? 

A device that acts as your primary entertainment hub for all content sources and also looks great/cool so you’re proud to have it in your living room when friends come over.
 
What’s your fondest IBC/Amsterdam memory? 

The first NDS party at IBC. In an industry where the only innovation for a decade was the DVR, those parties were a highlight.
 
Can you speak Dutch?

I think I will need 10 more IBCs to manage that!
