Job Title: Senior director, product marketing

Number of IBCs you’ve attended: I think this is number 16 or 17

Flying, driving or train-ing to IBC this year?

Flying

What is your goal for this year’s IBC show?

To represent and help Nagra in the promotion and selling of our extensive product portfolio and service capabilities.

What will be the big tech trends at this year’s IBC?

We all like to think we know what will be the trend at IBC and are often surprised. This year VR could feature, as will UltraHD and 4K. All IP and streaming too. These are exciting times.

What gear/software/platform do you wish someone would make?

A teleportation device so international travel could be made simpler.

What’s your fondest IBC/Amsterdam memory?

An impossible question – there have been so many. I once met a wonderful Egyptian taxi driver who offered me to marry his daughter. He drove me through Amsterdam from the RAI to my meeting in the most direct route at the cheapest cost I have ever experienced. And met me in his best, yet crumpled suit to take me to the airport at the end of the show – He even gave me a gift of a small Pyramid that I still have today.

Can you speak Dutch?

Een beetje as my wife is Dutch
